4. Third-Party Advertising

WarmNooks is monetised through display advertising served by Mediavine and/or Google AdSense. These networks use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your browsing history across websites.

  • Mediavine — Mediavine’s privacy practices are governed by its own Privacy Policy. Mediavine is a Google Certified Publishing Partner and adheres to the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.x).
  • Google — Google uses the DoubleClick cookie and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other sites on the internet.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how readers find and use WarmNooks. GA4 collects data such as session duration, pages visited, traffic sources, and device information. Data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

We have enabled IP anonymisation on all GA4 properties. Google’s data processing is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and, where applicable, a Data Processing Amendment.

To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6. Affiliate Links

WarmNooks participates in affiliate programmes including the Amazon Associates Programme and others. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are disclosed in posts where they appear.

Affiliate networks may place their own cookies when you click through. Please refer to each programme’s privacy policy for details.

7. Third-Party Links & Services

This site contains links to external websites and embeds from third-party services (e.g., Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before submitting any personal data.

We may use the following third-party services whose privacy policies govern their data practices:

  • Pinterest (social sharing)
  • Mailchimp or Kit (email newsletter delivery)
  • WPForms (contact form processing)
  • Cloudflare (CDN and DDoS protection)

8. Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions and email enquiries for up to 24 months, after which they are permanently deleted. Newsletter subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for 14 months in GA4 in line with Google’s default data retention settings.

9. Children’s Privacy

WarmNooks is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

10. Your Rights (GDPR & EEA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restriction — Request that we limit how we process your data.
  • Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

11. Your Rights (California / CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you the following rights:

  • Know — Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Delete — Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Opt out of sale / sharing — We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA.
  • Non-discrimination — You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page occasionally. Continued use of WarmNooks following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
