What We Don’t Accept
- Promotional content written primarily to sell a product or service
- Content that has been published elsewhere online (we only accept original, unpublished work)
- AI-generated drafts submitted without substantial human editing and a genuine authorial voice
- Articles outside our niche (fashion, food, travel, fitness, finance)
- Listicles with no editorial depth or original insight
- Content containing unsubstantiated health or wellness claims
Submission Guidelines
Content Quality
- Word count: 800–1,800 words. Longer is not better — every sentence should earn its place.
- Voice: Warm, knowledgeable, and conversational — write as you would for a close friend who trusts your taste. Avoid formal academic or salesy tones.
- Originality: Your piece must be original, unpublished content written exclusively for WarmNooks. Do not submit work previously published on your own blog or any other website.
- Accuracy: Double-check all facts, product names, and measurements. If you reference a study or statistic, include the source.
- Images: Where possible, include 2–5 high-quality images (minimum 1200px wide) with full licensing information. Unsplash, Pexels, or your own original photography is preferred.
Formatting
- Submit your draft as a Google Doc with commenting enabled, or as a plain .docx file
- Use H2 subheadings to break up the content logically
- Keep paragraphs short (3–5 sentences max)
- Bold key phrases sparingly; italics for titles and emphasis only
- Include a suggested meta title and meta description
Author Bio
Please include a short author bio (50–80 words) and a headshot (minimum 400 × 400 px) with your submission. You may include one link to your own website or portfolio in your bio. We do not allow keyword-rich anchor text or commercial links in author bios.
Links
You may include relevant outbound links within the article to support your content. We do not accept guest posts in exchange for link placement and reserve the right to add, modify, or remove any links at our editorial discretion. Links to commercial or promotional pages will be removed.
What to Expect
- Pitch first — Before writing the full piece, send us a brief pitch (2–4 sentences describing your angle, who it’s for, and why it fits WarmNooks).
- We’ll respond within 5–7 business days if your pitch is a good fit. If you don’t hear from us, please assume we’ve passed on that particular idea.
- Once approved, submit your full draft for review. We may request edits to align with our style and voice.
- We’ll send you a publication date once the piece is edited and scheduled. We do not guarantee a specific timeline.
- Compensation: Guest posts are currently unpaid. Contributors receive a byline, author bio with a link, and promotion across our social channels when the post goes live.
